My skills and experience:
I have 9 years experience working in various roles in the mental health field including individual therapy and group therapy. I have worked with a wide range of populations. My specialties are LGBTQIA+ issues, trauma work, Borderline Personality Disorder, and neurodivergence.
I am a certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (DBT) and have training specific to trauma treatment including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
I recently began providing licensure supervision.
My ideal client:
I love working with individuals navigating mood related disorders, anxiety, and healing from trauma. I enjoy trauma and attachment work, as well as self esteem building. It has been an honor for me to be able to participate in helping others find strategies for improving their day to day function, heal, and find new purpose and meaning in life.
I love serving the LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities. I am passionate about supporting members of the queer community in navigating finding safety and coping through the current crisis we find ourselves in. I am also passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients in recognizing the strengths that come from being neurodivergent and supporting them in unmasking and building confidence in being themselves.
How I operate:
I am a cultural competence and social justice focused clinician. I love learning from my clients and tailoring their clinical needs to their unique backgrounds and experiences. I am goal-oriented and love to incorporate the latest research in helping my clients heal, reduce symptoms, and improve their lives. I also emphasis the therapeutic relationship as I believe that having a safe, ethical, and supportive therapeutic relationship can foster not only therapeutic growth, but be a model for building healthy relationships outside the clinical setting.
My skills and experience:
I have 15 years experience working in various roles in the mental health field. I have worked with a wide range of populations. My specialties are trauma work, attachment wounds, grief and neurodivergence.
I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through EMDRIA. I am also an EMDRIA approved consultant.
I am certified in DBT.
I have been providing licensure supervision for over 5 years.
My ideal client:
I love trauma and grief work. I have had the privilege of watching many people find healing, peace or growth on their journeys. I only find myself growing more passionate about this work over time.
I also absolutely love working with neurodivergent clients and helping them connect with their strengths. I especially love helping high-masking folks learn how to explore behind their masking behaviors.
How I operate:
I'm a neuroscience-heavy therapist. I enjoy explaining the brain and connecting some of the latest research to my client's experiences. I'm goal-oriented and get a lot of motivation out of helping clients progress towards their goals. I'm a direct communicator and work well with direct feedback. Within attachment work, I believe the therapeutic space can act as a safe base for building new, safe attachments.
